An eight-week series covering the Beatitudes. This curriculum will help kids see the importance of having a good A.T.T.I.T.U.D.E. when things get rough. It will also help them better understand why God allows difficult circumstances into our lives.
This curriculum comes with one teaching DVD with all eight teaching segments, a game for each lesson entitled "G3", and interviews with kids on how they apply each lesson to their lives in a segment entitled "Live It." Overview
Lesson 1: Accepting God's Help Students will hear about Philip helping a man learn about God. They will learn that they can depend on God to help them through hard times.
Lesson 2: Trusting God's Best Students will learn about Jesus healing the daughter of Jairus. They will learn that they need to trust God to take care of them when things get tough.
Lesson 3: Taking God's Path Students will hear about the poor widow woman who gave all she had as an offering. They will learn that they should follow God's path rather than taking the easy road.
Lesson 4: Imitating God's Fairness Students will hear about Jesus forgiving Zacchaeus, a well-known sinner. They will learn that, if they follow the way Jesus wants them to live, they can break their bad habits.
Lesson 5: Trying God's Kindness Students will discover Jesus' kindness toward the Samaritan woman at the well. They will learn that they too need to have an attitude of kindness toward others.
Lesson 6: Understanding God's Purity Students will learn about the blind man and how Jesus restored his sight. They will learn that they can live a pure life by trusting in God's power.
Lesson 7: Demonstrating God's Peace Students will hear about Joseph in Egypt and how he forgave his brothers. They will learn that they can reveal God's peace by being forgiving of others.
Lesson 8: Expecting God's Power Students will learn about the army officer who had faith that Jesus would heal his servant. They will learn that they need to trust in God, even if they can't see or feel his presence.
